Kara Chick

Kara is an experienced Family Law Paralegal at Hefferon Law, PLLC. With a strong background in both family law and accounting, she provides invaluable support to our clients, particularly when it comes to the financial aspects of divorce and separation.

Kara began working in a law firm setting in 2019 and was quickly promoted to a family law paralegal. Over the years, she has developed extensive experience handling cases from start to finish, assisting clients with financial disclosures, court affidavits, and asset division. Before transitioning into family law, Kara worked in accounting, where she gained expertise in financial reports, bank reconciliations, and budgets—skills that continue to benefit clients today.

She has a passion for helping clients navigate the financial side of their cases while also offering support and compassion during an often difficult and emotional process. Known for her kindness, patience, and approachable nature, Kara makes clients feel comfortable and supported while guiding them through each step of their case.

Originally from various parts of the country, Kara chose to make North Carolina her home in 2015. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, her blended family, her pets, reading, and traveling.

Kara's combination of legal knowledge, financial experience, and client-focused approach makes her an integral part of the Hefferon Law team.
